Antalya Travel Guide



Although many people come to Antalya for the beaches and the fun associated with them, the city has much more to offer, diving, sailing, paragliding, rafting, mountain climbing, tracking and much more to see is beliving. Like many other Turkish cities, the city of Antalya comes from the Greek and Roman times, and there are many sites to prove. The Kale, the Ottoman citadel, is the most beautiful part of the city. Narrow streets, old half-timbered houses, stone archways and private gardens.
The old port (Yat Limani) is now a marina with modern yachts and very nice to spend an evening out with a meal or a drink on the sea front. Due to the fact that Antalya is a real tourist center, there is a large infrastructue and the many restaurants, shops, discos, etc. There is no need to be bored here.


The old port is also the place for many open-air events and concerts in the summer. Thera are many excellent trips to make in and around Antalya. The ancient ruins of Aspendos, Perge, Phaselis, Manavgat, Termessos Side, are all within a distance of 50 kilometres. Aspendos ampytheatre is the largest and a better form of its kind Every summer music festivals, hold in the area, it has capasity of more than 20000 people.


West of Kemer, Antalya is, where the mountain is more than 1500m high subparallel to the narrow beach. The east of Antalya, the most beautiful beaches and the coast is very broad. Make sure you visit Manavgat waterfalls, while in the area.
